Our solid oak cube is a simple,  versatile piece of outdoor furniture designed to work wherever an extra seat, side table or occasional surface is needed.
 
Handcrafted from sustainably sourced Scottish oak in our East Lothian workshop, its substantial proportions give it a reassuring solidity while its simple geometric form allows it to sit naturally alongside our garden benches and other outdoor furniture.
 
The cube is particularly well suited to creating informal seating around a firepit. Used alongside our Solid Oak Garden Bench, it allows you to create a relaxed and flexible arrangement for gathering, eating and spending time outdoors.

Simple design, carefully made
The cube deliberately keeps its form simple. Rather than adding unnecessary details, we let the natural character and weight of the oak do the work.
 
Solid timber construction gives the cube a substantial feel, while the clean lines make it easy to combine with different styles of garden and landscape.
 
As with all our furniture, we see the natural variation in the timber as part of the design. Knots, grain patterns and changes in colour mean that every cube will have its own character.

We believe good outdoor furniture starts with good timber.
 
We source Scottish hardwood wherever possible, selecting timber for both its structural qualities and the character it can bring to a finished piece. Using locally sourced timber allows us to make thoughtful use of the material available to us and retain a connection between the finished furniture and the landscape it came from.
 
Each cube is made in our workshop in East Lothian, Scotland, where we combine traditional woodworking techniques with modern precision.
 
Made for life outside
Oak is naturally well suited to outdoor furniture. Left untreated, it will gradually weather and develop a silver-grey patina as it responds to sunlight and the elements.
 
We can also supply the cube with an exterior oil finish if you would prefer to retain more of the original colour of the oak.
 
As with any solid timber furniture used outdoors, the appearance of the wood will change over time. We consider this part of the character of outdoor oak furniture. Each piece develops and ages with its surroundings.
 
More than just a seat
The cube has been designed to be useful beyond simply providing somewhere to sit.
Use it as an additional seat around a firepit, as a small side table for drinks, or as a practical surface within an outdoor seating arrangement.
 
Its compact 400mm dimensions make it easy to move around and rearrange as the way you use your garden changes.
 
Create your own firepit seating
The cube was designed to complement our Solid Oak Garden Bench and form part of a flexible firepit seating arrangement.
 
Combine cubes and benches in different configurations to create a more informal layout around a fire, or use several cubes to provide additional seating when friends and family visit.

Delivery & lead time
Our typical lead time is 6–8 weeks, although this can vary depending on current workshop capacity and timber availability. We will confirm the expected lead time when you order.
