Bring people together around the fire with our solid oak firepit seating set, handcrafted from sustainably sourced Scottish oak in our East Lothian workshop.
 
The set combines two of our Solid Oak Garden Benches with two matching oak cube seats, creating a substantial and flexible arrangement for gathering around a firepit.
 
Designed to become part of the landscape rather than simply sit within it, the furniture is made from solid timber and designed to weather naturally outdoors, developing character and a beautiful silver-grey patina over time.
 
This listing includes two solid oak garden benches and two solid oak cube seats.
 
Designed for gathering
Outdoor furniture should encourage people to stay outside a little longer.
 
We designed this firepit set around the way people naturally gather around a fire, facing one another, moving between conversations, eating, drinking and relaxing together.
 
The two benches provide comfortable seating for larger groups, while the cube seats can be positioned wherever an additional seat or small surface is needed.
 
The result is a relaxed arrangement that works equally well for quiet evenings at home or when friends and family come together.
 
Scottish oak, made in Scotland
We believe good outdoor furniture starts with good timber.
 
We source Scottish hardwood wherever possible, selecting timber for its structural qualities and the character it can bring to a finished piece. Each component of the set is individually made in our East Lothian workshop, combining traditional woodworking techniques with modern precision.
 
The natural variation in Scottish oak means that every set is unique. Knots, grain patterns, colour variation and other marks from the tree are retained wherever possible, giving the furniture a genuine sense of place and character.
 
Built for life outdoors
Solid oak is particularly well suited to outdoor furniture. Left to weather naturally, it will gradually develop a silver-grey patina as it responds to sunlight and the elements.
 
We can also supply the furniture with an exterior oil finish if you would prefer to retain more of the original colour of the oak.
 
Outdoor timber will naturally change with the seasons. We consider this an important part of the appeal: rather than trying to prevent the furniture from ageing, we design it to age gracefully.
 
A flexible firepit arrangement
 
The set includes:
2 × Solid Oak Garden Benches
1200mm L × 350mm W × 400mm H
2 × Solid Oak Cube Seats
400mm L × 400mm W × 400mm H
 
The benches and cubes can be arranged in different ways depending on your firepit, garden or outdoor entertaining space.
 
The cubes can be used as additional seating or as occasional tables for drinks, plates and other essentials.
 
For larger spaces, additional benches and cubes can be ordered separately.
 
Designed around the May
The benches in this set are our May Solid Oak Garden Bench — our modern interpretation of the traditional oak beam bench.
 
The substantial timber construction, carefully considered proportions and traditional dovetailed feet give the bench its distinctive character, while integrated handles make it easier to manoeuvre.
 
The matching cube follows the same simple, substantial design language, allowing the individual pieces to work together as a cohesive outdoor furniture set.
 
Made to last, made to age
We don't design outdoor furniture to look permanently new.
 
We use solid, durable materials and construction techniques intended to withstand years of outdoor use, while allowing the timber to develop its own character over time.
Your firepit furniture can become a long-term part of your garden, changing with the seasons and becoming more individual as it ages.
 
Delivery & lead time
Our typical lead time is 6–8 weeks, although this can vary depending on current workshop capacity and timber availability. We will confirm the expected lead time when you order.
 
Delivery can be arranged throughout mainland UK. Due to the substantial weight of solid oak furniture, we will discuss the most appropriate delivery method for your location and access.
 
For larger projects or difficult access, delivery and positioning can be arranged separately.
 
Bespoke options
Every garden is different, so the standard set isn't necessarily the only option.
We can create larger or smaller seating arrangements, different bench lengths and alternative combinations of benches and cubes depending on your space.
